This 4-day Easy Rider motorbike itinerary spans roughly 340 kilometers along Route 13 and the scenic lakeside paths of Central Laos. It takes you from the ancient capital of Luang Prabang, up through spectacular 1,400-meter mountain peaks, down into the dramatic karst valley of Vang Vieng, around the massive Nam Ngum reservoir, and finishes in Vientiane.Because you are doing an Easy Rider tour (riding pillion behind an experienced local driver), you can completely focus on the breathtaking, sweeping 360-degree vistas without worrying about handling the steep, winding mountain switchbacks and gravel patches yourself.
Day 1: Luang Prabang to Kiu Ka Cham ( L, D)
- Distance: ~80-95 km
- The Route: The morning often begins with a minivan shuttle out of Luang Prabang up to the high-altitude settlement of Kiu Ka Cham (approx. 1,350m) to bypass the steepest immediate climbs. From here, you ride winding mountain roads along ridges between 1,000m and 1,400m.
- Highlights: 360-degree mountain vistas and remote Hmong and Khmu ethnic hill tribe villages perched along the ridges.
- Stay: Guesthouses or eco-lodges in Kiu Ka Cham.
Day 2: Kiu Ka Cham to Vang Vieng (B , L , D )
- Distance: ~135 km
- The Route: You will navigate the winding, scenic route passing through Phou Khoun (a major junction town). Enjoy spectacular, sweeping descents down into the lush Kasi Valley. From Kasi, the road flattens out slightly as you follow rivers surrounded by rising limestone towers.

- Stay: guesthouses in Vang Vieng.
Day 3: Vang Vieng to Nam Ngum Lake ( B, L, D )

- Stay: Resorts or lakeside bungalows in Thalat / Ban Keune near Nam Ngum.
Day 4: Nam Ngum to Vientiane ( B, L )
