Day 1: Thakhek to Lao Bao Border (The Crossing) ( L, D )
- Distance / Time: ~245 km / 5 hours. ( Can order private car or easy rider )
- Route: Route 13 South to Route 9 East.
- Details: Ride through the flat savannah of southern Laos. Pass through Savannakhet province to reach the Dansavanh–Lao Bao border. Cross into Vietnam and stay the night in Lao Bao or nearby Khe Sanh town.
Day 2: Lao Bao ( Khe Sanh) to Phong Nha (West Ho Chi Minh Highway) (B, L )
- Distance / Time: ~220 km / 6 hours.
- Route: Ho Chi Minh Highway (West Branch).
- Details: This is a remote, spectacular mountain ride. You will tackle twisting roads, dense jungle passes, and see traditional ethnic minority villages with almost no traffic.
Day 3: Explore Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park (B )
- Distance / Time: Short local riding. boat tour
- Details: Take a break from long-distance driving. Take a boat trip into Phong Nha Cave .
Day 4: Phong Nha to Dong Hoi (Via Paradise Cave Road) ( B, L )
- Distance / Time: ~60 km / 1.5 hours.
- Route: DT562 to QL16.
- Details: Enjoy a relaxed morning in the hills. Ride to Paradise Cave to see massive stalactites. Take the scenic backroads down to the coastal city of Dong Hoi. Spend the afternoon relaxing on Nhat Le Beach and ( You can eating fresh seafood by your own choice )
Day 5: Dong Hoi to Hue (The DMZ History Route) (B, L )
- Distance / Time: ~170 km / 4 hours.
- Route: QL1A (Coast) or East Ho Chi Minh Highway.
- Details: Ride south into the former Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Stop to explore the historic Vinh Moc Tunnels and cross the Hien Luong Bridge at the 17th Parallel before arriving in the imperial city of Hue.
Day 6: Explore the Imperial City of Hue ( B )
- Distance / Time: Short local riding.
- Details: Visit the vast Hue Imperial Citadel. Ride along the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda and the majestic royal tombs of the Nguyen Emperors Tu Duc. Afternoon take a rest at the beautiful Hue city.
Day 7: Hue to Hoi An (The Hai Van Pass) ( B, L )
- Distance / Time: ~130 km / 4 hours.
- Route: QL1A over the pass.
- Details: Ride the famous Hai Van Pass for incredible ocean and mountain views. Stop for lunch at Lang Co Beach and pass through Da Nang city before arriving in ancient Hoi An. End the tour at your own hotel .
